spring is here! :)

Assalamualaikum
Hi all!


What is not to love about spring?
The longer, brighter days always make me super-excited as it feels like the season brings out a brand new me :)
i guess after living in shorter, gloomer and darker days in winter, it is time for me to go out and enjoy the sun!
it is the time where i can fling off my winter boots, gloves and scarfs, keep the winter clothes away and slip on my comfy flats and take out my spring wardrobe.., not to forget the rain coat ;p


lately, i've been yearning for brand new make up as most of my must-wear-everyday-makeup were almost ran off
so last weekend, mr hubby has been so kind to let me buy anything that i want so i went all out buying a face foundation, a face powder, an eye liner, a lipstick and a lipgloss.. it cost him a fortune to pay, but he seemed to be fine with it.. thanks darling! lain kali belanja lagi ok? xoxo


this spring, our back garden has been covered with daffodils which the seeds were planted earlier in the beginning of winter
not much of flowers have grown yet, but some of them have shown signs to start blooming
the garden has been neglected since last autumn and i'm hoping that the sun will shine this weekend for us to do gardening and to spring-clean the house
:)

less than two weeks from now, our house will receive two special guests from Malaysia and my husband and i really look forward to welcome them..
we have planned many things for them to enjoy the season with us and i hope they will arrive safely here later, insyaAllah..guess who??

garden in spring

lama sudah bersejukan, it is time for spring cleaning and enjoy our day out esp at the back garden

minggu ni adalah minggu berpanas di Egham dan baju2 yang dibasuh dah mula disidai kat luar :)

table and chairs were taken out from the shed and placed at the patio

not so sure how long the sunny weather will stay.. but we enjoy it so far

projek bercucuk tanam dah bermula!

layout garden tahun ni sudah bertukar dari tahun lepas

this time, vegetable plots stay at the back while flower plots will be at the front garden near to the patio.. 

reason: sajer-sajer... just to maximise the use of the garden :)

we have spring onion, garlic, mangetout, asparagus pea and spinach

also, we have planted several types of tomatoes, cucumber, pak choi, sweet pepper and courgette

some shrubs and flowers for summer

below: this is our first tulip blooming in the garden... the bulb was planted last winter before we went back to Malaysia.. ada lagi yang belum kembang..will show the rest to you later k?

but the cold wind is still there

nevertheless, i'm gonna get ready with my gardening tools .. time to get my garden 'green' again!

i was on the 7pm news!!

i'm re-posting this post again as the link that i've provided earlier has gone!

last 2 years, i went for a fungi workshop in London to learn more about fungal identification and never thought that TV people will be following us throughout our lessons to do news cover for evening news on that same day .. so, basically you can see me (and my camera..tehehe) here and there in the clip..

i've recorded them earlier (but it was too heavy to be uploaded in the YouTube, i gave up!) but tonight  i've found the slot in the catch-up Channel4 news website, i will just paste the link so that you guys can just watch it from there

at first, i thought only my husband and i will be the only Malaysians in town to watch news that night, but just when the news was on-aired that night, mr. hubby received a call from Abg Zamri (our friend) telling that i was on tv.. (sengih again!)..yes, at least there was a person watching me on action (instead of us).. well, i would like you, yes, my precious reader to watch it too.. so here it goes!

penyelamat kulit

nak kata musim bunga, tapi asyik mendung dan hujan je

adakah ini realiti nya musim bunga di sini?

harap2 summer nanti panasla skit

lately masalah kulit kering memang menjadi-jadi

dari kulit muka sampaila pergelangan kaki ni

sampai satu tahap, kulit kering akan jadi pedih bile bergesel dengan baju atau seluar

can u imagine that?

hari2 lepas mandi qila sapu cream ni bagi lembap skit

lepas tu apply baby oil kat muke dan Vaseline kat bibir

kalau snap gambar saya masa pakai mende alah ni

sure silau punye!! haha

evening walk

puas bermalas-malasan dirumah sepanjang hari, kami keluar jalan2 di Old Windsor
berehat di kerusi bangku mengadap River Thames dan menikmati pemandangan sekeliling sangatla mendamaikan

hubby telah menunjukkan bakatnya mengambil gambar panorama dari handphone HTC saya yang selama ini tidak diketahui fungsinya itu..huhu

yeay, it's getting warmer!

setelah 3 bulan bersejuk-sejukan, kini musim bunga akan tiba!
selepas 3 bulan jugak makan di lounge, pada hari ini kami dah mula melepak di breakfast table kat dapur..makan sambil menikmati pemandangan
kalau tak memang tak mampula nak berlama-lamaan kat dapur tu sebab lantai die kayu..sejuuuuk!

masa kat kampus tadi, saya tengok ramai yang dah mula menukar fesyen daripada berbaju tebal terus ke T-shirt dan skirt
dan ramai yang dah mule melepak dan bersantai mengadap matahari kat depan International Building sebab ada tanah lapang kat situ
tapi saya rasa still lagi chillin' cuma bile matahari keluar harini dah mula rasa suam2 kuku..
mr. sv kata tak lama lagi panasla tu.. maybe starting on April onwards
yeay!

patutla orang putih ni sangat appreciate musim panas sampai sanggup bersidaian di pantai2 negara tropika demi untuk mendapat tanned body (tak kuasa aku! diorang tatau leh dapat kanser kulit bile buat camtu)

maka, harini tea-time kitorang adalah Yorkshire pudding yang kelihatan agak kehitaman tapi rasanya boleh tahan, egg-mayo dan juga mashed-spinach-potatoes! hehe
tengok gamba kedua tu..dah nampak terang skit alam kat sini..
Alhamdulillah
