cold windy Saturday

we spent most of the time in the back garden
me busy planting my new plants bought few days ago from the nursery
while mr hubby clearing out vegetable & fruit plants that were almost/nearly dead due to the frost happened early this week..kasihan.. tapi nasih baik bell-peppers dan aubergine yang kitorang tanam sempat di petik walaupun masih belum masak sepenuhnya.. if we keep them a few days indoor maybe boleh makan nanti kot..

There was a sudden heavy rain in the afternoon masa qila tengah asyik lawn mowing and we had to stop working immediately and brought every machine we used into the shed
and later we decided to call it a day
from inside the house we suddenly saw sleet (icy rain) falling down and it was the first time ever in this season
but not much la

told ya!

the weather forecast predicted that it would be sunny the whole day tomorrow (insyaAllah)
so we thought of having another go on clearing the other part of the garden and to plant some more spring bulbs and autumn-winter flowers..
although it's gonna be sun shining, jacket and gloves should be wore
it's already 8 degrees man!!

well.. i am done for now

1. YESTERDAY

yesterday, qila and hubby went to nursery nearby to look for autumn/winter plants

i love to go to nursery cos obviously so many flowers will be around and kept me "auw.." and "wow"ing all the time.. ;)

if you look at the 1st picture below, you can see how many spring seeds/bulbs have been displayed! yeah, spring will sprung in another 5 to 6 months later, but we need to plant the seeds/bulb before 1st frost which means NOW!

we bought some colouful flowers dipercayai tahan cuaca sejuk to replace my previous bedding flowers that were already dead due to changing season

2. TODAY

papa went out with Abg Zamri to accompany and helping him out to collect Freecycle items from an unknown person at Staines. I couldn't believe my eyes when papa came home with an antic bicycle too! rezeki..rezeki.. :)

something has caught my eye again! while I was on my way to the toilet in the Windsor Building. Wahey!! We are gonna have ice rink at RHUL in winter!! papa dah bagi green light for me to go skating.. need to book the place ASAP!

what happened today?

                                                                                                          

it was sunny morning today and we have decided to stay at home and tidying up our patio and back garden. Therefore, i'd cooked special meal for breakfast supaya ada energy skit nak buat kerja after that..heee

It has been rainy days lately, and umbrella or jacket with hood is a MUST!

tengokla garden kitorang, rumput pun dah panjang dan banyak summer plants yang mati.. maka, today adalah stay-at-home-and-make-up-the-garden day for both of us..

mr. hubby ditugaskan untuk mesin rumput while the wife..ahem..me.. tukang cabut weeds, tukang trim pokok bunga, tukang cabut pokok mati dan tukang bersih patio.. hehe

lepas solat Asar, saya terus collapsed sampai Maghrib..hehe.. really tired ma!

bila bangun dari tidur dapat phone call dari Kak Maswa saying that she is going to take her childrens to Carters Steam Fair dekat Englefield Green. Die cakap kalau nak join nanti datangla terus kat funfair tu...

Well, for your knowledge, Carters Steam Fair adalah ala-ala funfair macam kat Malaysia tu tapi yang uniknya funfair ni more to British traditional style. Qila ada jumpa video kat YouTube pasal funfair ni, so korang boleh tengok ok?

it was raining when we arrived at the funfair.. apalagi, redah jela!

we went into this booth called Mirrow Show - sort of like cermin mengejek..(panggil apa ye in english?) klakar tak gambar kitorang kat bawah ni?

hekhek!

obviously, it was a wet evening.. the actual mission to the funfair was to watch the hanabi (fireworks) but due to rain, i'm not sure whether they are going to have it later after the rain stop or probably tomorrow night.. mr hubby kata kalau tak hujan esok boleh datang lagi.. yeay!

it is already spring
dan banyak retail outlet store yang dah promo garden tools dan juga plant seeds untuk ditanam sepanjang musim bunga hingga autumn nanti
saya dan suami juga taknak ketinggalan menanam pokok buah dan sayur
mana tahu ade hasilnya nanti bolehla keluar umah petik dan masak aje
:)


memandangkan kitorang masih tinggal di flat lagi, jadi kami gunakan propagator untuk tanam biji benih dulu..bile dah tumbuh seedlings baru akan dipindahkan ke dalam pot.. bagus method ni.. insyaAllah bile dah tumbuh seedlings tu, kitorang pun akan berpindah ke rumah baru..yang ade garden tu..huhu

propagator ni asalnya leper macam buah carom yang kite main atas carom board tu, tapi bile letak air panas, dengan automatiknya die akan membesar naik hingga 1-2 inci.. itula tempat di mana kite akan letak biji benih kite tu..

taraa.. untuk percubaan pertama ni, saya dan suami tanam tomato, daun bawang, capsicum ngan terung dulu.. harap2 dapatla merasa buah & sayur ni bile die dah tumbuh..
