Royal Wedding

I guess everybody was focusing at one thing yesterday -- the royal wedding
my husband and i also didn't miss to watch the live telecast of the wedding on BBC1 right from the morning till 3 o'clock in the afternoon
yela..the wedding was like once-in-a-lifetime kan.. in fact it happened while we were here in the UK.. so, it would be one of the memories that we would never forget entirely when we're back at home


Kate looks super gorgeous and i really like her wedding gown.. simple and sweet gitu.. not to mention Prince William.. they are looking good together
wish both of them happiness :)


p/s: saw YDP Agong and Her Majesty came to the wedding as well.. :)

hana's (flowers) everywhere!

our first destination was at Keukenhof, Holland

since last year lagi nak sangat datang kat sini berguling2 dengan bunga2an esp tulip

Alhamdulillah tahun ni dikurniakan rezeki pulak dapat datang ke sini on the 3rd day of their openings

for those who not aware of this place, let me explain a little bit about it

Keukenhof is the largest flower garden situated in the Netherlands near to Amsterdam

According to the official website for the Keukenhof Park, approximately 7,000,000 (seven million) flower bulbs are planted annually in the park and most of them are tulips!

also known as the Garden of Europe, Keukenhof attracts visitors all over the world and promises beautiful landscape of flowers everywhere in the garden

however this place is only open for public in spring and for this year's event, they will open from 24th March until 20th May 2011

masih sempat lagi for those yang dah duduk dekat europe kalau nak melawat Keukenhof ni.. hurry2!

sesungguhnya sungguh cantik ciptaan Tuhan yang Maha Esa.. Subhanallah!

Recently, i was busy preparing for my poster for 2nd annual postgraduate symposium next month and Alhamdulillah yesterday, it was successfully submitted for printing 

abstract for conference in France also has been submitted (hopefully it will be accepted)..insyaAllah

now, i guess i deserve a short break with dearest hubby and i'm taking away my Lala~chan too.. :))

will update more stories and pictures later on!!

i have decided to go for a makeover since last December and was hoping that she will be able to finish it right before New Year.. so that it will be the new face of Akira~chan's in 2011.. (semangat2!)

but i guess my luck wasn't there as she was busy with lotsa stuff to handle at the same time

but no biggies, i could understand that

anyway, she has done it and i am so happy with the result.. hip!hip! hooray!

i guess baby blue colour is my thing now.. (no more pink?) haha.. no worries, pink is still in the list, but not at the top anymore... for sure!

i've got it in my previous template and in my current template ..

nampak soft and cute kan? plus with the whitey clouds everywhere... (reminds me of marshmallow :))

well..well..well... i got myself an animated header too!

it is really cute with the mushroom pot, the books, watering flowers... what can i say, soooo ME! ;P

garden in spring

lama sudah bersejukan, it is time for spring cleaning and enjoy our day out esp at the back garden

minggu ni adalah minggu berpanas di Egham dan baju2 yang dibasuh dah mula disidai kat luar :)

table and chairs were taken out from the shed and placed at the patio

not so sure how long the sunny weather will stay.. but we enjoy it so far

projek bercucuk tanam dah bermula!

layout garden tahun ni sudah bertukar dari tahun lepas

this time, vegetable plots stay at the back while flower plots will be at the front garden near to the patio.. 

reason: sajer-sajer... just to maximise the use of the garden :)

we have spring onion, garlic, mangetout, asparagus pea and spinach

also, we have planted several types of tomatoes, cucumber, pak choi, sweet pepper and courgette

some shrubs and flowers for summer

below: this is our first tulip blooming in the garden... the bulb was planted last winter before we went back to Malaysia.. ada lagi yang belum kembang..will show the rest to you later k?

masakan dinner malam tadi memang sungguh menyelerakan!

ohh... syukran ya Allah!
semalam sungguh bertuah kerana dengan info dari rakan senegara, kami berjaya membeli stok durian (yg frozen lah), ikan kembung kesukaanku dan kacang botol di kedai yang sememangnya hampir dengan rumah kami
kalau sebelum ni pesan kat kawan je tolong belikan kat central london dan jarang pulak nak dapat..
selepas ini tidak lagi
boleh ajak hubby pergi Windsor dan stock up apa2 yang perlu.. huhu
btw, the shop is called Royal Thai!


untuk pengetahuan family: kat kedai ni ada tepung beras, cili kering, sayur2 asia, in fact ikan pun ada.. kalau malas nak pergi jauh-jauh lepas ni jadi regular la kat kedai ni :))
